Every day, except days I don’t, I check out a ton of websites for the best inspiration, self improvement, and community articles oriented towards the cultivation of happiness. I take my favorite and post them to the home page. At the end of the month (or start of the next, as with this) I gather them into a single post with some highlights – this is April’s rundown. As always, if you think I’m missing an excellent site, I’d love to hear about it in the comments.

Affirmations: 53 Links

To me, affirmations are statements of faith. Not just religious faith, but also faith in our journeys and in ourselves. Faith in others and the world. And ultimately… faith in God, truth, and spirit. Commitments to change can be easily undone with faith, so let us feed our hearts with positivity to negate the perceived negativity that floods throughout our social sphere.

Community Awareness: 74 Links

Finally, one must realize the connectivity between our private journeys and the world around us. Be it parenting, the environment, or human rights – simply being informed helps us make choices that don’t contribute to the controlling machine. And, of course, it’s full circle – being informed also inspires us, taking us back to the beginning.
