I like to think of myself as the guy that gets startups from their initial vision to the point that they need to have in-house web staff. Some clients never outgrow me because their operations never need more support than I can provide, though, so I have some clients that have been with me for years and years. Either way, I provide expert, experienced web development for companies who don’t need a full-time web developer on-staff.
I currently serve clients in the healthcare and financial industries, provide code monkey support to several web designers, and maintain a wide variety of companies’ web presences.
I've run my own web development consultancy since 2016 and I've been in web development since 2002. My typical engagement is as a help desk, providing custom PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to small businesses. A large percentage of the work I do is in WordPress, creating custom plugins and themes, and has to do with custom API integration.
At 5-E I oversaw the daily operations of the web services sector while contributing to the fulfillment of those services. Daily tasks included creating/updating new and exciting online applications, managing diverse and client-specific teams to lead projects to completion, and providing technical guidance to clients, affiliates, and team members.
At Tier1, I oversaw, greatly revamped, and extended a large and diverse codebase. Most significantly, I integrated disparate systems to present unified solutions on behalf of the company's clients. I still maintain some of these systems today.
During this time, I acted mostly as a programmer-for-hire, participating in coordination with other contractors to create online systems and websites for clients.
